Dear LB - My dad passed away years ago, but he still hangs around the house—literally. He flickers the lights when I forget chores and whispers reminders at night. I love him, but I’d also like some privacy. How do I tell a ghost parent to back off?

-Haunted But Hovered

Dear Hovered,

Even in the afterlife, parents struggle with boundaries. Try having a calm, respectful conversation (maybe during his strongest “manifesting hours”). Reassure him you appreciate his guidance, but you’ve got things under control. If that fails, consider a symbolic gesture—like finishing your chores before he has to flicker anything. Growth might be what finally helps him rest.
